I Can See Clearly Now Bookmark

Hello, hello! I’ve got a new bookmark project to share that will clearly knock your socks off. See what I did there?

For my project I used the following:

  • The Sending Love stamp set by Ink Blot Shop
  • Two pieces of acetate
  • Front and back tag frame pieces
  • Foam tape
  • Sequins
  • Ribbon and twine

Someone once told me that the best toys for kids are ones that you can play with in at least five different ways. Take wooden alphabet blocks for example. You can count them, stack them, trace them, use them to spell things out, line them up, etc.

I try to apply that same idea to the stamp sets I have. The Sending Love set can be used in many different ways and I hope that my bookmark will help give you an idea for one of them.

To begin I stamped all of the clouds and all of the small paper airplanes from the set twice. After fussy cutting my images out I inked the edges of half of the clouds and colored half of the paper airplanes in with a yellow marker.

I adhered acetate to both of my bookmark frames and then adhered the inked clouds and colored paper planes to the front of my tag as well as to the inside. I applied the other half of the images behind the first set. This helps to keep the adhesive from showing.

I applied thin foam tape to the inside of the back part of my bookmark and filled the well with sequins. I removed the backing paper from my foam tape and placed the front part of my bookmark on top. I cut a few lengths of ribbon and twine and added them to the bookmark.

I’m so happy with how this project turned out and I hope you’ll enjoy it as well.

Have a great day!

Until next time,
