Hello, hello! I’ve got a new card to share with you today.

This card did not turn out the way I’d initially envisioned and I couldn’t be happier about that. Oftentimes in card making, much like in life, things don’t go the way we’d planned. Sometimes that ends up being a good thing.
I used the Shine On stamp set from Ink Blot Shop for this card. I stamped and heat embossed the jar of stars and the ‘Let your light shine’ sentiment from the set onto a piece of black cardstock (to which I’d first applied a liberal amount of antistatic powder).
My original plan was to color the stars with colored pencils. Instead I grabbed a craft knife and, using the heat embossed outline as a guide, carefully cut the insides of the stars out.

I added some black and white polkadot paper to a black A2 sized note card and to that a piece of silver glitter paper. I placed foam tape to the back of my card front panel and adhered it to the card.
Lastly I placed a few star shaped embellishments near the mouth of the jar. I love how you can see the silver glitter paper peeking out from behind the stars.

I hope you have a good day. Take care.
Until next time,
Samantha
