Hello, hello! I’m back with another card that I created for this month’s challenge over at the Clever Dexter blog. The theme is “Hello Autumn” and the optional color palette consists of rose tan, ultramarine green, fired brick, peach nougat, and magenta purple. Our sponsor this month is Oddball Art Co.

For my card I began by taping the Watercolor Wash Square Stencil by MFT onto a white piece of 80lb cardstock that I’d die cut using one of the dies from the A2 Double Stitched Rectangle Stax set from MFT.
Using the stencil I applied a blend of Distress Oxides in Speckled Egg, Evergreen Bough, and Black Soot. This blend reminds me of the sky on an Autumn night. I added small dots as stars with a white gel pen.
After gluing my panel down onto a deep teal colored piece of cardstock I began coloring the super cute digi stamp called Autumn Trails Scene by Oddball Art Co. After I was happy with the way it looked I adhered it to the lower part of the ink blended area.
Next, using a bit of cardstock that matched the card base I stamped a sentiment from the Witch Way is the Candy stamp set by MFT in Versafine Onyx Black ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, and die cut it out using a die from the Essential Stitched Sentiment Strips die set by MFT (I really like MFT if you couldn’t tell!).
I finished the card by adhering the sentiment banner across a section of the stamped image and added a smattering of gold sequins to the right hand side of the card.

I hope you’ll join in on the fun we’re having at the current Clever Dexter challenge.
Until next time,
Samantha
