Hello, hello! It’s my favorite time of year again and I’m very happy to share a card with you that celebrates this wonderful season.

Over at the Clever Dexter blog we’ve got a brand new challenge sponsored by Oddball Art Co.; the theme is Hello Autumn and the optional color palette consists of rose tan, ultramarine green, fired brick, peach nougat, and magenta purple.
For my card I used the Sassy Unicorn Painting Pumpkins digital stamp from Oddball Art Co.. I have never seen an Autumn unicorn and I think it is so stinking cute.
I opted to go with nontraditional Autumn colors for my card. I created the background using the Quilted Backdrop cover die from Lawn Fawn which I layered over gold glitter paper. I added the whole thing to a white, A2 sized card base created from 110lb Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
After I colored in the stamped image I used the Fall Leaf Collage die from Poppystamps to cut out leaves that matched the colors of the unicorn. To get a perfect match I took the markers that I used on the unicorn, colored bits of white cardstock with them, and then die cut them out. This is a great way to create your own custom colored cardstock.

I clustered the teal and purple leaves behind the stamped image and added them to the card front. Next I took the sentiment from the Bountiful Fall stamp set by Unity Stamp Company and heat embossed it in white onto black cardstock. I cut it out using one of the Essential Stitched Sentiment banner dies from My Favorite Things, trimmed off one of the ends, popped it up on foam tape, and added it to the left hand side of my card so that it slightly overlapped the focal image.

I hope that you’ll join in on the fun of the latest Clever Dexter challenge. I can’t wait to see what you’ll make.
Have a terrific day and I’ll see you soon.
Until next time,
Samantha
