Thank You, Thank You

Hello, hello! I’m so happy to be sharing my latest card that I created for the new challenge over at the Clever Dexter blog!

This month our sponsor is Polkadoodles, our theme is sparkle and glitter, and our optional color palette is amber, red, sandstone, classic blue, and green sheen.

For this card I used the adorable Doggy Tails Honeypie stamp.

I created my background by first ink blending over a stencil using Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Peacock Feathers, and Faded Jeans. Without removing the stencil I then applied a thin layer of Nuvo Glimmer Paste in Moonstone. I just love the sparkly, glittery look that this technique provides.

I colored the image in using a variety of Copic markers. My favorite place to buy Copic markers is from Scrapbookpal.com.

I used a sentiment from the CZ Designs for Simon Says Stamp Reverse Gratitude sentiment strip set and placed it below the image after securely adhering the image to the center of the glittery panel. I used my favorite Bearly Art glue to stick all the elements of this card together. (You can use code SAMANTHA for 10% off your order!)

I layered the glittery panel onto a piece of dark blue cardstock which I die cut using a stitched border die and then added the entire thing to a white A2 sized note card that I created from a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to join us in the latest challenge over at the Clever Dexter blog!

Until next time,

Samantha
