Hello, hello! Happy New Year!

I’m hoping that 2021 will be a great deal kinder to each and every one of us.
I have fallen hard for alcohol inked backgrounds as of late. I have a few from Brea Reese and some Tim Holtz/ Ranger ones. I used a mixture of both brands for this card.
First I used two similar colors of blue alcohol inks on Yupo paper. I have a tip for you. Try using a camera dust blower if you don’t already own the Ranger air blower. In my opinion it works just as well but at a better price point.
Next I used a happy birthday die (brand unknown), cut it twice from Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock and once from gold mirror cardstock from Tonic Studios. I adore this mirror cardstock. It’s so pretty!
After die cutting the sentiment I stacked the die cuts together to get some dimension. I find that this helps keep the sentiment from getting lost on the somewhat busy background.

I cut my alcohol inked panel down to 4″ x 5.25″ and adhered it to a white card base made from Neenah 110lb Solar White cardstock.
After placing my sentiment in the center I added three clear sequins. The ones I use are from Cartwright’s Sequins. I highly recommend them. They have a beautiful selection of many different sequins and mixes.
Here’s the finished card.

Have a terrific day!
Until next time,
Samantha Ziegenfuß
