Anybody else feel like their family should be on a day time television talk show? I know I do!
Franz and I needed a break from all the ‘obligated to make’ cards and projects so we headed over to the SoSS blog to get some inspiration.
There’s a new challenge going on over on the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers’ blog. F is for family.
My inspiration came from this image.
To begin I used the Block Party Alphas from Ink Road Stamps to stamp and heat emboss the word welcome.
Next I used a stencil and did simple ink blending over it using Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks.
I fired up Franz to create the sentiment strips. I printed out my sentiments for the card front but decided that they were getting lost. To remedy this I trimmed them down and matted them onto black cardstock.
After adhering my sentiments to the card front I layered a rectangle of craft foam behind the panel and attached it to my card base. This gives us a bit of dimension. I also added sequins.
Finally I trimmed and adhered my sentiment strips to the inside of the card.
I hope you like my card and don’t forget to head over to The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers to check out all the snark-tabulous cards.
Until next time,
F is for Franz (π),
Samantha
Here’s my cat, Snowy, getting in on the fun
Well done. Great sentiment. Thanks for being a part of our family this week.

Kitty cat says, “thank you gimme some treats.” Don’t listen to him. He’s had plenty of treats.
I’m so happy you like my card and I’m glad to have been able to participate in another SoSS challenge!

This has so many levels of brilliant! Beautiful stencilled background, and a fabulous family message. π And now I know my cat isn’t the only one that likes to play with blending brushes! (Tim Holtz blending sponges are still his favourite, though.) Thanks for joining the fun at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
