After talking with a fellow creative friend I’ve decided to make this whole social media and makers thing a multi part series.
I feel that in the creative world, in the paper crafting world at least, there’s this unspoken expectation of prettiness. Everything must look pretty and bright and happy and no talk of unpleasantry is welcome.
I have to admit that I’m a bit nervous about doing this series.
If companies won’t want to work with me because I’m talking about things I feel are important to discuss then I don’t want to work with those companies.
Do you know what’s more important than companies wanting to work with you?
People. That, my friend, is why I’m going to keep writing and shedding light on the not so nice things about social media and creative people. People need to know they’re not alone in their struggles.
I’m going to have this series over on my other blog so as to keep things orderly. That way I don’t get all discombobulated.
You can find it at
Hope to see you over there.
Until next time,
Chips, cheese, hairy knees,
Samantha
