Hello, my friend. Today I’ve got another vellum shaker card to share with you.
If you’d like to learn how to make a vellum shaker card check out my tutorial here.
For this shaker I did some simple ink blending with Distress Inks and the Harvest stencil from Simon Says Stamp
This is one of my favorite stencils. It’s very detailed but easy to do ink blending over. In fact this stencil was what made me fall in love with ink blending.

Back to today’s card. After I created the card panel I got to work on the vellum. I used plain white vellum that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I heat embossed the word ‘Hello’ (from the Ranger Letter it Greetings stamp set) on the vellum using Versafine ink in Onyx Black and clear embossing powder.
I attached everything and filled the inside with sequins. These ones are the Birthday Cake sequins from Simon Says Stamp. I also added some sequins to the card front.
I adore shaker cards and I hope you’ll give this one a try. It’s a very easy shaker card to make. I know that the kind with acetate and foam can be a bit intimidating so this is a good way to get your toes wet.
Until next time.
Love, peace, and chicken grease,
Samantha
