Good morning, my friends. I hope you’re having a fantastic day. It’s another snow day for us here in Minnesota. We are known for crazy weather but this winter takes the cake.
The good thing is that snow days are the perfect craft days. Today I’ve got a special card to share with you but first the story behind it.
I recently connected with an old friend of my mother’s named Gloria. She has told me a lot about my mom; sharing various memories she has of her and things she admired about my mother.
It’s precious to me to get those memories from others. Each one is like a small puzzle piece helping me to build a better picture of my mom.
I wanted to send Gloria a card so I heat embossed the Center Cut Heart background stamp from Simon Says Stamp onto my card front using Versamark Watermark ink and clear embossing powder by Ranger.

Next I did ink blending using Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Spun Sugar, keeping the lighter color in the center and blending out.
Finally I used a simple sentiment die by CTMH to cut out the words ‘Hi There’ from purple glitter paper. I was getting some shedding so I went over the letters with Glossy Accents. This prevents glitter shedding and adds some beautiful dimension.
I thank you for stopping by and I hope you’ll come back soon.
