Oh So Charming

Quite a few years ago my aunt stayed with me for a couple of weeks while I recovered from one of the many foot surgeries I’ve had. I was pretty much limited to lying on the couch so she introduced me to her hobby; jewelry making.

My aunt is an extraordinarily talented jewelry artist. She’s had a few of her wire wrapped designs published and has been a guest designer for some pretty top notch people in the industry.

Anyway, she figured that since we had so much time on our hands that it was the perfect opportunity for me to learn some of the basics. I loved it. I’m no good at all at wire wrapping but I do know my way around a head pin lol.

Every now and then I like taking out my jewelry making stuff and creating fun little keychains or small gifts for loved ones. Last night I decided to make this;

They’re easy to make if you know the basics and have the basic tools. I used a length of gold chain, charms, beads, jump rings, and headpins.

I also made this one as I bought a second planner yesterday. $4 on clearance at Hobby Lobby. How could I say no? lol My plan is to alternate between my two planners every month or so.

For this one I used a length of silver chain, charms, beads, headpins, and some jump rings I made myself out of the headpins I have. That was another thing my aunt taught me; how to make my own jump rings. I do prefer using pre made ones but it’s nice being able to make them myself when I don’t have any and don’t want to go to the store.

Well, that’s all for now. Thank you so much for stopping by and if you haven’t already done so please feel free to check me out on Instagram.
